Awareness is the Key

Before we can change, we need to know ourselves.

We need to be aware of our thoughts and feelings, our beliefs and behaviours.

We need to notice our connection to ourselves.

A simple exercise:

  • Close your eyes
  • Pay attention to your breath and examine its quality
  • Notice your thoughts – just observe for a minute
  • Notice how you feel – just observe for a minute
  • Notice how relaxed or tense you feel in your body – quickly scan it
  • Take a few deep breaths – let go and let be
  • Now notice if you already feel better
